I’ve made a 3D model of the sword based on an existing wooden sword which I had purchased.
After taking dimensions and modeling the sword, I start to print parts and piece them together.

Got the wooden sword and chopped the tip off. Continued by adding layers of MDF wood.I’ve made a 3D model of the sword based on an existing wooden sword which I had purchased.

Glued it all up.

Time to add the cross guards. Again, more 3D printed pieces from the model from earlier.

I had constructed the model so I would be able to easily piece them together and screw them onto the wood.

Test fitting and painted some resin into the blade to stiffen it.

Screwed together.

Added tapered design between the blade and the cross guard.
Paint bit by bit…
More paint designs on the blade.
More paint designs on the blade.
Added the decorative piece in the center which also hides the screws.
More paint at the base.
